Godly Play for Children

Michele Neibert, Parish Administrator September 12, 2019
This Sunday (September 15, 2019) at The Church of the Nativity and St. Stephen
Trinity Image, Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin, Ireland

O God, because without you we are not able to please you, mercifully grant that your Holy Spirit may in all things direct and rule our hearts; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen Collect for Proper 19, pg. 233 Book of Common Prayer

How does the Holy Spirit direct and rule our hearts? Jesus said he was sending the Holy Spirit or advocate to be with us and guide us when he was no longer physically with us. How do you hear the Holy Spirit?

Sometimes the Holy Spirit comes in the form of messages from other people. Someone asks us about ourselves or mentions a project and it's "right on time." And have you ever kept thinking about a particular person and then contact them and they really needed to hear from you? Darlene Amsler often says there are coincidences, but God-incidences. Maybe they are Holy-Spirit-incidences.

May we always be open to and "hear" the direction and rule of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

Many blessings as you finish your week!

Love, Rebecca+

The Episcopal and Anglican churches along our southern border are helping shelter families who have been approved by the United States Government to seek asylum.
These families and individuals are awaiting their Asylum court dates. Right now, monetary donations are needed, because once families pass the first part of the asylum process, they are being sent to Mexico to await their court date. Monetary donations are the easiest way to help those churches shelter these individuals and families. Donations can be sent to: Diocese of the Rio Grande, 6400 Coors Blvd NW, Albuquerque NM 87120
online donations at their website: www.dioceserg.org
