A note from the Sr. Warden

November 2024

Dear Friends,

Vestry and the Discernment Committee have been working very hard to prepare for the interview process in our search for a new rector.  We have mapped out our questions and held a mock interview to get comfortable. The initial interview with each candidate will be via Zoom, followed by a possible 2nd interview again via Zoom and then an invitation to come to Nativity for an in-person interview.

Our new and improved website is in its final stages. We are excited!

The ladies have been meeting each week and a list of future gatherings has been posted. Please try to make it to a breakfast or lunch – all are welcome.

If you haven’t done so already, please fill out your pledges so we can continue our support of our community and our parish.  We have listed several projects we are working on currently that you can choose to support.

1.         Contribute to the repair of the elevator, which will hopefully be completed this year, and provide access to all floors.

2.         Contribute to a new landscape plan for the front of Nativity.

3.         Contribute to the next painting project at St. Stephens.

At the November 10th service we will be honoring military service men and women, past and present.  If you have someone you would like to recognize, you can bring a photo of the individual.  We would be honored to recognize those veterans with you. Also, let Michele know by Monday, November 4 the name and branch of service for which they served and it will be added to the bulletin.

November 17th will be our Annual Meeting and potluck lunch. Please plan to attend. It is a wonderful time to join in fellowship as we look forward to 2025.

If you know of anyone who would benefit from a home visit, please let us know. We have several ladies that are licensed to do home visits, and they would be happy to serve in ministering to those in need. If there is someone you know that you would like to add to our prayer list, please let us know by calling the church office or emailing – 717-567-6514 or chnatss@pa.net.

As always, as your Senior Warden, I am available anytime - 717-979-0180 or jehoover@pa.net.
I am here to serve you to the best of my ability.

Thank You
I am grateful for all the support offered to me as your Senior Warden by our members and church officials and your endless work in our ministries. Together we grow, and will continue our work, loving God, loving our neighbors and being together in Christian community.

Peace,

Jill Hoover, Senior Warden
