Social Media Habits Survey - Help Improve our Diocesan Social Media Presence
The diocesan communications office are seeking to enhance social media presence and fully serve the online audience. A short survey has been designed to give insight into the social media habits of online followers. All responses will remain anonymous. Social Justice Webinar, Saturday, August 28, 10am - Noon
This two-hour Zoom webinar will be presented by The Rev. Kevin Barron and The Rev. Carla Christopher Wilson. The goal is to find pathways for restorative justice and spiritual practices by creating space for conversations and learning to go deeper into our struggles with dismantling racism and our struggles with the effects of intersectionality of how race, gender, and other individual characteristics intersect as multiple sources of oppression. Anti-Racism Training Online, August 8 – September 17 via Zoom
The Episcopal Diocese of New Jersey Anti-Racism Ministry invites you to participate in 20 hours of virtual Anti-Racism Training streamed to your computer, tablet or mobile phone. The training takes a historical approach to help participants understand systemic racism and empower them to confront and organize against racism, inequality, and injustice. Lecture and discussion topics include “What is Race?”, “Systemic Racism and White Privilege,” “Internalized Racism,” “The Role of the Church,” “Settler Colonialism,” “Racism in Immigration and Naturalization Legislation,” and “The Prison Industrial Complex.” The course takes place over four Friday evenings, with a follow up session on October 15th.
