Almighty God, whose Son our Savior Jesus Christ is the light of the world: Grant that your people, illumined by your Word and Sacraments, may shine with the radiance of Christ's glory, that he may be known, worshipped, and obeyed to the ends of the earth; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, now and for ever. Amen. Collect, 2nd Sunday after Epiphany, Book of Common Prayer, p. 215
What makes your face light up and your whole body change? I know one thing for me is when I talk about my grandchildren. Sometimes it might be something we love to eat or the memory of a fun or good experience.
This season of Epiphany is about Christ, the light of the world, shining in the world. We pray that the light of God may shine through us. We pray that our service of worship will open us up in new ways to more clearly radiate God's love.
May we shine with God's love in the same way we light up for other things in our lives.
Love, Rebecca+
