Put your trust in the Lord and do good; *
dwell in the land and feed on its riches. Psalm 37:3
Sometimes our worries and responsibilities can feel overwhelming. Taking care of ourselves is job enough. Then often we add on responsibilities for children, family members, church members, friends, job, pets, and homes.
In our faith tradition, we are also asked to love our neighbor.
One thing at a time and one day at a time is good advice. Sometimes making lists helps. Sometimes we need to limit ourselves to just a few things.
And we can always pray or have a conversation with God. "What should I do, God?" we can ask. We can ask God for guidance. We can listen and be attuned to the spirit's movement within us.
Our ancient psalmist says we can put our trust in God and do good. Put our trust in God and do good. Sounds like some good guidance.
Love,
Rebecca+
