May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble, *
the Name of the God of Jacob defend you;
Send you help from his holy place *
and strengthen you out of Zion;
Psalm 20: 1-2
This Sunday, we read a beautiful blessing and prayer for each other. It is difficult for us to fully understand the troubles that come upon us. We know they will. Sometimes we can clearly see that our own decisions have brought troubles upon us. However, many times we are not responsible for the troubles that afflict us. We do question God when this happens.
The first two verses of this Psalm are a way we can pray for others that God will answer them during troubles and that God will send strength to them during troubles. We pray they and we can feel God's presence with us during those difficult times.
Many blessings to you during this week and next.
Love, Rebecca+
