Be merciful to me, O Lord, for you are my God; *
I call upon you all the day long Psalm 86:3
As I read this verse from our Psalm for June 25, I felt such relief and joy. I don't know about you, but I definitely need God's mercy!!!
I see myself as a good person and as a caring person. Yet, I know that I am not perfect. I'm not always compassionate when I should be. I get too attached to what I'm doing and don't see people around me. There are people I don't particularly like and find it a challenge to see them as reflections of God's image. I'm impatient when I should be understanding. Sometimes I say words that offend or I butt into conversations in annoying ways.
Always, always, I am grateful for God's mercy. I can rely upon God's mercy. Of course because of God's mercy, I do try to be less annoying and less hurtful and more patient. Yet, I know God shows me mercy, especially when I admit exactly who I am.
I pray that you know God's mercy and as a result you live joyfully!
Blessings as you finish this week and next!
Love, Rebecca+
