Is there someone you know who can always make you feel better when you are down and out? What a blessing that is. How wonderful when we have someone who can sustain us with a word when we are weary.
Our Psalmist attributes this gift to teachers. It takes a lot of understanding, listening and compassion to be a teacher as many of you know. And while you may not always be thanked for what you do, often you how to say just the right thing that helps someone keep moving through their life.
Let us give thanks for the wonderful gift we receive from all who can sustain us when we are weary.

Flowers for Easter, April 17.
Donations for Easter flowers will be taken through today. If you have an envelope, you can use for the donation, including marking if they are “in honor of” or “in memory of” someone. There are also envelopes at the back of the church.
We welcome the Rev. Canon Robert Schiesler as sabbatical pastor during Rev. Rebecca’s absence from April 18 – August 1.
Canon Bob holds graduate degrees in theology and ministry including the Ph.D. His ministry included serving as Dean of the cathedral in Iowa and as Rector of the pro-cathedral church in Michigan. Moving to Mechanicsburg in 2015, he became Rector of St. Luke’s Church where he served until 2019. In 2006, he was made a Canon of Honor in the Episcopal Church and in 2017, Queen Elizabeth II named him an officer of the Order of St. John.
Collections for Neighbor Helping Neighbor Food Bank
We will be collecting one specific item each month for the Food Bank. The item for the month of April is Canned Meats.

The Stitchers are in Need of Participants
The group is currently working at home making winter hats for children, prayer shawls and prayer squares. They will meet on Thursday, April 28, 10am at Nativity Church, 159 S 2nd St., Newport, PA.
