I am so grateful to Kay Cramer for saying she wanted to do a weekly Taize service and for the group who meets each week. Beginning with 20 minutes of centering prayer, followed by Psalm, scripture, prayers and the meditative chants of Taize, the service provides strength and serenity and joy for the week ahead. I find myself singing the chants often during the rest of the week.
The best part, though, is that we are also praying for all of you. We are praising God, sending God's love and care throughout our community and into the world. We are connecting with God and reminding all that God is good...that we need be grateful...that God's love and forgiveness never dies.
This week our services remind us not only of the wrongs we have done, but also of God's great love and mercy, which never, never go away. Yes, there is death, tragedy, and violence, but nothing can ever separate us from the love and mercy of God!
