Surely your goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, *
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. Psalm 23:6
This Sunday is Good Shepherd Sunday. We remember Christ in the image of the shepherd, who cares for the sheep in all ways, including giving of his life. Probably the most well-known image of God and Christ as the good shepherd comes from Psalm 23. This Psalm has provided great comfort to people for thousands of year. Something about the words and image calm our anxiety.
One of my favorite versions of this Psalm is by Bobby McFerrin, who modified the Psalm a bit in honor of his mother. I found this version where Mr. McFerrin conducts a choir in singing his version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cn2zKKhhF3I
I pray that you find comfort in the arms of God and Christ, our good shepherd.
Love, Rebecca+

Shaped by Faith Celebrating our Stories NEW DATES Wednesday, April 28, May 5, 12, 19 & 26, 6 -7pm
The stories of our faith are rooted in transformation. As we continue walking this season of seemingly unprecedented change, we want to create space to hear again the stories of how our faith communities have charted these waters. Originally scheduled for Saturday, May 22, we are shifting to five online workshops on Wednesday evenings in late April and May. Topics will include preserving oral history, creating parish history exhibits, writing your parish history, and creating and maintaining a parish archive. Workshop leaders will be announced soon; you may pick and choose which sessions are most relevant to you and your community.

Interfaith Power & Light registration is now open to view this year’s featured film, Kiss the Ground, as part the events for Faith Climate Action Week’s theme of ‘Sacred Ground: Cultivating Connections Between our Faith, our Food, and the Climate’.
Kiss the Ground is a new film how about how regenerating the world’s soils has the potential to rapidly stabilize Earth’s climate, restore lost ecosystems, and create abundant food supplies. This film explains why transitioning to regenerative agriculture could be key in rehabilitating the planet, while simultaneously invigorating a new sense of hope and inspiration in viewers. IPL will offer a free online viewing period for home viewing from April 10 through April 26. All viewers must register with IPL at https://interfaithpowerandlight.salsalabs.org/trpfilm2021kisstheground/index.html
