Bless the Lord, O my soul, *
and all that is within me, bless his holy Name.
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, *
and forget not all his benefits.
3 He forgives all your sins *
and heals all your infirmities;
4 He redeems your life from the grave *
and crowns you with mercy and loving-kindness;
5 He satisfies you with good things, *
and your youth is renewed like an eagle's.
6 The Lord executes righteousness *
and judgment for all who are oppressed.
7 He made his ways known to Moses *
and his works to the children of Israel.
8 The Lord is full of compassion and mercy, *
slow to anger and of great kindness.
As soon as I read this Psalm, the Gospel tune by the great songwriter, Andrae Crouch comes to mind. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tp-UOjstQ1o It's a great chorus repeating the first verse of this Psalm. Mr. Crouch then went on to summarize much of the remainder of the Psalm with the words: "He has done great things."
The Psalmist lists some of the great things God has done and does continue to do for us: forgiveness, redemption, goodness, righteousness, compasson, mercy, and great kindness. What a great joy to be in relationship with our God. Of course all that we are blesses and praises God for God's goodness and lovingkindness to us.
God's relationship with us gives us courage to do God's Will. God's relationship with us gives us comfort, especially when we stray. God's relationship with us gives us an example to follow in all of our earthly relationships.
Bless the Lord, O my Soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy Name!
Many blessings as you finish your week!
Love, Rebecca+

Latino/Latina Heritage Month to be observed Sunday, September 11.
On Sunday, September 11, we'll observe Latino/Latina Heritage
Month. This is a reminder that we are part of the worldwide
Anglican Communion. We will say The Lord's Prayer in Spanish
and sing some new hymns from Latino traditions.
You can start practicing now:
Padre nuestro, que estas in el cielo
santificado sea tu Nombre,
