There have long been debates about defining beauty in worship spaces, especially regarding how much the church should spend on their physical worship space. It is true that we can worship God anywhere. There are probably as many ideas about what is beautiful as there are individuals.
So when the ancient psalmist wrote, "worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness," what comes to mind? It seems like every time I show people the sanctuary at Nativity, I am told it is the prettiest church in the town. And St. Stephen's has a beauty all its own. There are places outdoors that we find deeply beautiful. Just being with others in worship may be beautiful for some.
There are truly many ways to worship God in the beauty of holiness. Whatever those are for you, I hope you surround yourself with them.

Almighty God, look with favor upon Miguel as he discerns his path to best serve you. Give him courage, patience, and vision. We pray for his parish discernment committee: Anne and Roger Chappelka, Todd Saner, Joanne Pinaire, Andrea Jezewski, and Charlene Robbins, that they may have wisdom in discerning this call with Miguel. Strengthen all of us in our Christian vocation of witness to the world and in service to others.

Items needed are: Adult Incontinent Products, Combs, Hair brushes, Hair care products, Deodorant, Diapers and Wipes - sizes 1 to 6, Feminine hygiene products, Lotion, Medical supplies such as band-aids & cough drops, Mouthwash, Paper Towels, Shampoo/Conditioner, Shaving Cream/Razors, Soap/shower gel, Tissues, Toilet Paper and Toothpaste/Toothbrushes.
Food Bank Donations are needed!
For a list of the items needed by the Food Bank, go to their website at http://www.perrycountyfoodbank.org/ and click on their wish list. Canned vegetables, fruit, nut butters and protein are always needed.
COVID Alert PA App
The Department of Health has launched the COVID Alert PA, https://www.pa.gov/covid/covid-alert-pa/. This is a free mobile app that uses Bluetooth technology to let a person know that they have been exposed to COVID-19 without compromising the identity or location of either the person using the app, or of the person to whom they may have been exposed. The mobile app helps the contact tracing process by identifying and notifying those people identified as close contacts through Bluetooth technology when a person with COVID-19 does not know or remember everyone with whom they may have come in contact while infectious.
