This Sunday Canon Bob Schiesler leads the worship service at St. Stephen in Thompsontown.

Canon Bob will be with us until Rebecca's return in August.

Announcements

Today we worship at St. Stephen in Thompsontown.

We welcome the Rev. Canon Robert Alan Schiesler as sabbatical pastor during Rebecca’s absence this summer.

Today we take an additional offering for Caring for Nativity’s Neighbors Heating and Health.
Donations are sent to Join Hands, so people in our community have support for their needs.

 

Michele will be out of the office Tuesday, July 5 through Friday, July 8.

Collections for Neighbor Helping Neighbor Food Bank
We will be collecting one specific item each month for the Food Bank. The items for the month of July are Personal Care Items.

 

Movies in the Park, Newport Veterans Memorial Park, 201 N. Front Street, Saturday, July 16, 8:45pm, Sing 2.
Free. Bring blankets and chairs. Concessions by the Newport Girls Softball Team. Presented by the Newport Revitalization Preservation Society.

Help fill our community food pantry!
Items that seem to be taken first include canned pasta meals, soups, and macaroni and cheese. Vegetables don't seem to get taken. Also, please don't use this as an opportunity to clear out your pantry if at all possible.

Help People in Need when you buy your Groceries.
See Gail Shull or Pat Szabo to purchase cards in various amounts to use at Giant or Weis or stop by the office. 5% of the cost of each card stays with the church and is used for outreach and mission projects.  

 

Honor or Remember a loved one or a special occasion with flowers on the altar.
Flowers help make our worship space more beautiful and remind us of the blossoming life we have in Christ. Please consider sponsoring the flowers in memory of a loved one, or to celebrate your thanksgivings.   Flowers are $30.  Let Michele know by email – chnatss@pa.net or phone, 717-567-6514.
