We welcome the Rev. Canon Robert Alan Schiesler as sabbatical pastor during Rebecca’s absence this summer.

Collections for Neighbor Helping Neighbor Food Bank
We will be collecting one specific item each month for the Food Bank. The item for the month of June is Baby Food.

 

Church Picnic, June 26, 11am, worship and picnic at Landis Farm.
Bring a dish to share. There will be swimming. If you are willing to help, see Sue Beamer. This service will not be available by Zoom due to the location.

 

Help fill our community food pantry!
Items that seem to be taken first include canned pasta meals, soups, and macaroni and cheese.

 

Help Join Hands provide basic needs products to families.
Items needed are: Adult Incontinent Products, Combs, Hair brushes, Hair care products, Deodorant, Diapers and Wipes - sizes 1 to 6, Feminine hygiene products, Lotion, Medical supplies such as band-aids & cough drops, Mouthwash, Paper Towels, Soap/shower gel, Shampoo/Conditioner, Shaving Cream/Razors, Tissues, Toilet Paper, Toothpaste/Toothbrushes.

Join Hands has a waiting list for the following items/appliances: Microwaves, AC Units (window, portable, all kinds), Electric Stoves, Refrigerators, Vacuums/Mops

Friends of Newport Farmer's Market, parking lot at the Church of the Nativity, noon - 3pm, June 26, July 31, August 28, September 25, October 30 and November 20.

Help People in Need when you buy your Groceries!
See Gail Shull or Pat Szabo to purchase cards in various amounts to use at Giant or Weis or stop by the office. 5% of the cost of each card stays with the church and is used for outreach and mission projects.  

Rotary Club of Perry County Golf Outing, Friday, June 17, US Army War College, Carlisle
Proceeds benefit local Rotary Youth Leadership Programs. Lunch at noon and 1pm 4-person Scramble start. $100 per person; $100 per hole sponsorship. Diocesan Migration Ministry Resources is asking for donations of school supplies, backpacks and lunch boxes to give to newly-arriving refugee children.
Refugee children arrive throughout the year and they need materials for school all year long. DMMR asks you to donate new and lightly used backpacks and lunch boxes.  Filling backpacks with new school supplies is appreciated, which include a box of Ticonderoga pencils, markers, highlighters, a 24-count box of Crayola crayons, construction paper, glue sticks, standard ruler, erasers, index cards, tablets, Post-it notes, and a pencil pouch. Bring them to the diocesan office or arrange for them to be picked up by contacting Carolyn Patterson at 717-236-5959 or cpatterson@diocesecpa.org.
