I love the way the Collect for this Sunday begins... Gracious Father. Gracious parent. What image do you get when you think of God as gracious? What other words come to mind?
Generous, calm, welcoming, loving and just some words that come to my mind. I get this picture of a door being opened to a wonderful home. Everything that is needed is provided. There is joy and a wonderful smile. Come in. Sit down. Relax awhile.
May we continue to grow in our faith, knowing that our gracious God is providing everything we need.

Join us for the Newport Ministerium Soup Supper this Wednesday, March 22, 5:30pm, at Incarnation United Church of Christ, 47 N 4th St., Newport.
We begin with a light supper of soup, bread and dessert. The Rev. Rebecca Myers will offer the meditation on “I am the door” from John 10:7.
Flowers for Easter, April 9.
Donations for Easter flowers will be taken through today. If you have an envelope, you can use for the donation, including marking if they are “in honor of” or “in memory of” someone. There are also envelopes at the back of the church.

It’s All About Love: A Festival for the Jesus Movement, July 9-12, Baltimore Convention Center, Maryland
