Gracious Father, whose blessed Son Jesus Christ came down from heaven to be the true bread which gives life to the world: Evermore give us this bread, that he may live in us, and we in him; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. (BCP, p. 219)
Give us this bread, that Jesus may live in us and we in him. If ever there was a time when we need Jesus, this is it. Our lives are totally different and seemingly in an instant. We want them to "return to normal," however, normal may look very different than it did before.
When Jesus lives in us, I believe we find peace, think of others and view the world through a lens of what is just. We lovingly care for each other and for ourselves. Hopefully we can handle the abrupt changes and uncertainties of life with compassion, mercy and grace.
How are you receiving the bread of life offered by Jesus? How does Jesus live in you? How do you live in Jesus?
Many blessings!
Love, Rebecca+
