God knows we have no power in ourselves to help ourselves. Do we know that? It doesn't mean we cannot do anything for ourselves, however, there are many things in our lives, which require or are made better with God's direction. The point is, do we truly rely upon God?
There are many ways to be connected to God and to rely upon God. One of the best ways, I think, is to be in community with other Christians. That's why our parish is so important. All of us are doing our best to listen to and follow God, especially as we know God through Jesus Christ. In our community, we are working with others. We are not alone. Where I am weak, you may be strong. Where I lack wisdom, you may have what I need. God comes through our living in faith together.
This living in community requires us to show up for each other. That is certainly a little more challenging now, since we are not meeting in person. We mostly see each other online only. The worship and time together through Zoom strengthens us and helps us connect not only with each other but also with God.
Each of us is also unique in our understanding and growth in faith. We may not think it matters much if we do not show up on a Sunday, but each one of us brings a blessed spirit important to our time together.
Let us give thanks for our parish and the ways we help each other rely upon God.

Prayer for Spiritual Communion
The prayer for spiritual communion was inadvertantly left out of the booklets for Lent. Here it is:
My Jesus, I believe that you are truly present in the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar. I love you above all things, and long for you in my soul. Since I cannot receive you in the Sacrament of your Body and Blood, come spiritually into my heart. Cleanse and strengthen me with your grace, Lord Jesus, and let me never be separated from you. May I live in you, and you in me, in this life and in the life to come. Amen.

Today we observe Women’s History Month.
Today we take an additional offering for Caring for Nativity’s Neighbors Heating and Health.
Donations are sent to Join Hands, so people in our community have support for their needs.
Flowers for Easter, April 4.
Donations for Easter flowers will be taken through March 28. If you have an envelope, you can use for the donation, including marking if they are “in honor of” or “in memory of” someone.
We are creating special Holy Week and Easter boxes for each family.
Among other items, they will contain small containers of bread and wine for communion on Maundy Thursday and Easter. They will be ready after our church service on March 14. If you can come by the church on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday or Sunday to pick up your box, please let Rebecca know.
If you are available to deliver a box to a member of the parish, please let Rebecca know.
