Now the Lord said to Abram, ‘Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. Genesis 12:1
The first time I met my Sicilian relatives, I was overwhelmed. My great uncle looked just like my grandfather. I knew I was related to these people, even though we did not know each other's language and had only just met.
I could not even imagine how my grandfather uprooted himself from them. I wasn't sure I could have done that and told my grandfather so. He just shrugged and made it seem like it was an easy decision.
Abram had courage to follow God's leading and trust that God's promise of making a great nation of him would come true. We continually hear stories of relocation and many of us have them in our family lines. What we need to remember is that these relocations include plenty of challenges. Thankfully, God is with us.
Blessings as you finish your week!
Love, Rebecca+
