Today we observe Asian/Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

Today we take an additional offering for Caring for Nativity’s Neighbors Heating and Health.

Collections for Neighbor Helping Neighbor Food Bank 
We will be collecting one specific item each month for the Food Bank. The items for the month of May are Baby Wipes and Diapers.

 

Active, baptized members of the parish seeking their first college degree are encouraged to apply for the Kyle Weller Scholarship by June 1.

Join Hands has a waiting list for the following items/appliances:
Microwaves, AC Units (window, portable, all kinds), Electric Stoves, Refrigerators, Vacuums/Mops
For their toiletry ministry they are averaging 20/25 families a week. Any and all toiletry items are always a blessing. If you wish to call Join Hands to see what they are lowest on, you can ask for Brooke and she will let you know.

 

Perry County Literacy Council 26th Annual Race for Reading, Saturday, May 7, 5pm, Little Buffalo State Park Recreation Center.
View the Kentucky Derby while enjoying appetizers, salads, bread, soup station, and desserts by Leslie Heimbaugh. Drinks by donation. There will be a silent auction & live auction. General Convention Volunteers Needed for July 5 – 14
Volunteers are being recruited to support the logistical work of the General Convention, welcome guests, and have an opportunity to learn about the structure and governance of the Episcopal Church. Contact Caroline Bomgardner at 410-467-1399 ext, 1379 to volunteer.

Save the Date, Presiding Bishop Michael Curry's Visit to our Diocese is scheduled for Saturday, June 11, 10:30am, followed by lunch, Zembo Shrine, Harrisburg
All are welcome! They are working on coach busses to provide transportation from convocations throughout the diocese.

Help fill our community food pantry!
Items that seem to be taken first include canned pasta meals, soups, and macaroni and cheese. Vegetables don't seem to get taken. Also, please don't use this as an opportunity to clear out your pantry if at all possible.

 

Church World Service: Become a network member by helping new refugees and immigrants, including Afghans and Ukrainians, to resettle in the greater Harrisburg area.
