Collections for Neighbor Helping Neighbor Food Bank 
We will be collecting one specific item each month for the Food Bank. The items for the month of May are Baby Wipes and Diapers.

 

Yard Work Day, Monday, May 23, 8:30am before the picnic at Little Buffalo
We will be planting flowers and cutting back spent daffodils so bring trowels and clippers!  Kneeling cushions are optional!

Geraniums for Pentecost, June 5.
Donations for geraniums to decorate the church for Pentecost are being taken. Plants should cost $4-5. Envelopes are at the back of the church. You can make them “in memory of or in honor of” someone.

 

Active, baptized members of the parish seeking their first college degree are encouraged to apply for the Kyle Weller Scholarship by June 1.

Presiding Bishop Michael Curry is coming to visit our Diocese
Friday, June 10, 7:30pm, Evening Prayer/Compline (Prelude at 7:15pm) at Saint James Episcopal Church, Lancaster, 119 N. Duke Street.

Saturday, June 11, worship event, Zembo Shrine, Harrisburg. Creative activities for all ages, 9am, Worship celebration, 10:30 am, followed by lunch. A youth event is being planned for the afternoon. The diocese is working on coach buses to provide transportation from different convocations throughout the diocese.

 

The Stevenson School for Ministry Course

Becoming Beloved Community, Tuesdays, May 24 – August 2, 7 – 8pm

This course defines racism as the combination of racial prejudice, racial discrimination, and power and not the bad acts of misguided individuals. The Beloved Community is defined as one that seeks and promotes justice for the least among us. This 10-week course will be an online Zoom meeting. The instructors will be the Rev.
