You will show me the path of life; *
in your presence there is fullness of joy,
and in your right hand are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11
Our Psalmist for this week suggests our lives are a journey from one destination to another. The Psalm also suggests there are many paths from which to choose. Some paths are life-giving, while others are not.
I think the challenge is in choosing the life-giving path. We can have so many choices before us and get confused or overwhelmed about which path is best.
Our Psalmist assures us that God will show us the best path, yet even that can seem confusing. How will God show us the way? Sometimes we hear God through prayer; sometimes through other people. Sometimes we hear God's voice when we journal or when we walk the labyrinth. I also believe that even if we start down a path that may not be best, we can always change and find a different one.
May you feel confident you are on the path of life that brings you into the joyful presence of God.
Blessings,
Rebecca+
