This Sunday (November 3, 2019) at The Church of the Nativity and St. Stephen

This Sunday

Worship at St. Stephen's. Observance of All Saints Day

Michele Neibert, Parish Administrator October 31, 2019
This Sunday (November 3, 2019) at The Church of the Nativity and St. Stephen

Almighty God, you have knit together your elect in one communion and fellowship in the mystical body of your Son Christ our Lord... From Collect for All Saints, Book of Common Prayer, p. 245

Today the stitchers meet in our parish hall. It is their monthly meeting where they knit and crochet items for others. It is amazing to see how a string of yarn becomes a hat or a scarf or a lap robe or a sweater. The string becomes knit together into something useful and beautiful and strong.

Likewise, when we join together as the parish of Nativity and St. Stephen, we transform from our individual selves, into something larger that is useful, beautiful and strong.

Many blessings to you this day.

Love, Rebecca+

Joe is in his early 70s. He had a good career as a writer. Recently he’s had some health issues, making it difficult for him to live on his own.  He also has limited income. The Episcopal Home is a perfect fit for him. His meals are provided in a beautiful dining room. There are activities and outings, some especially arranged for his interests. His medical appointments are coordinated and there is transportation provided. His medications are given to him as directed. The Episcopal church he loves is readily available on Sunday mornings, with chaplain services provided during the week.

The Episcopal Home must raise nearly $300,000 per year from donors to make sure people like Joe have an excellent quality of life.  Please make a donation to help Joe and other residents at the home.
