I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Tim. 4:7
When I read these words, I often think of those who have gone before us. We all know people for whom we can say, "They fought the good fight, they finished the race, they kept the faith." It's what we hope others will say about us, isn't it?
Keeping the faith can be challenging. We stray from the path to which God calls us. Sometimes when we believe we are following God's voice, we feel alone and like no one else is coming with us.
What can we do to keep following Jesus when it gets hard? What can we do to finish our race here on earth? What can we do to keep the faith?
I pray you will ponder these questions, not only as you consider you personal actions, but also as you think about how we as a community together fight the good fight, finish the race, and keep the faith!
I pray the words to the hymn, "Fight the Good Fight" might sustain and uphold you.

Fight the good fight with all thy might!
Christ is thy strength, and Christ thy right;
Lay hold on life, and it shall be
Thy joy and crown eternally.
2
Run the straight race through God’s good grace,
Lift up thine eyes, and seek His face;
Life with its way before us lies,
Christ is the path, and Christ the prize.
3
Cast care aside, lean on thy Guide;
His boundless mercy will provide;
Trust, and thy trusting soul shall prove
Christ is its life, and Christ its love.
4
Faint not nor fear, His arms are near,
He changeth not, and thou art dear;
Only believe, and thou shalt see
That Christ is all in all to thee.
Love, Rebecca+
