 Lead me in your truth and teach me, *
for you are the God of my salvation;
in you have I trusted all the day long. Psalm 25:4

"What is truth?" Pilate asks Jesus. (John 18:38) Pilate is questioning Jesus to determine whether Jesus is a threat to the rule of the Roman Empire and should be crucified. Jesus has told Pilate that he came to testify to the truth and that everyone that belongs to the truth listens to the voice of Jesus.

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, we hear in John 14. What truths have you heard from Jesus? What truths of Jesus guide your life? We know that Jesus tells us to love God, love our neighbor and love ourselves. We know that Jesus says he came to bring release to the captives and to let the oppressed go free. We know Jesus taught us to pray to God as our parent. Jesus taught us that we are all children of God.

In the most recent video Vestry and I watched regarding Evangelism, we are asked to look at our own lives and tell the story of how the truths of Jesus have affected us and guided our lives. We all have stories to tell about how Jesus has led us in his truth. We all have stories to tell about how Jesus has led us. Hold on to those stories and consider sharing them. They are not only touchstones for your life; they are also inspiration for all of us and our Christian walk.

Love, Rebecca+
