Our help is in the Name of the Lord, *
the maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 124:8
This is a very familiar verse. Psalm 124 recounts what would happen to us if we did not have God. It is a Psalm of how God saved the Israelites. The history is recounted so the generations remember.
How does God save you?
Does God help you in situations in your daily life? Maybe your pain is eased by praying and remembering that God is with you. Maybe the loving outreach from fellow Christians eases your challenges. Maybe you are saved from lashing out in anger at others. Maybe you are saved by daily practices to live in and exude the love of God. Maybe you are saved because you feel calm midst the many stresses of daily life. I pray you are saved by coming to worship and minister and be in fellowship in our parish.
Our help is in God, who made all things.
Many blessings as you finish your week.
Love, Rebecca+
